Diary of a sex worker 2.0 / 26

Hello guys!!!

In today’s post, I am going to write about how a porn film is made.

I know that for most people the action in a porn film is very real and is generally accepted, nothing is staged, faked or planned. Porn scenes show people having sex and enjoying it.

Well, that is not always true.

In general, most porn scenes, even the amateur ones, are staged. If you think about it, that makes sense; improvising a sex scene most times will give you a crappy and messy product.

You can film yourself fucking with your partner or a friend and simply place the camera and leave the passion flow. That’s ok, but again, it is not so simple if you want to make a good product and monetize it. You need to test the camera angles, the lights, the reflections (and trust me, make up and sweat do very silly things), the scenario, …

Now imagine you want to earn money with that scene. If you invest money in a porn set, the equipment, the technical staff, the performers, the promo, … at the end you have a big bill. And you need to recover that money, so leaving your scene to how your performers improvise and enjoy it is always a bad idea. I’ve only done this a couple of times with very professional talents and, although the result was not bad, I prefer the staged scenes. I know what I am doing and what I want from my actors.

The main goal a porn movie has is to give pleasure to the viewer. Your pleasure is what it is important for us. The scene is simply a way to arouse you, to visualize a fantasy and to live it in your mind.

This is a business and if you want to be successful you need to be aware of what’s going on and how to make the best product.

That means most scenes have everything planned, staged and performed. And yes, we use a lot of tricks you never see in the final cut.

For example, sometimes there is no penetration. We can film the poses and the gestures with no sex intercourse and only do it for certain camera angles. That depends mainly on the performers. The good ones have no problems with long penetrations and is easier to move the cameras around the scene with less edition. But sometimes the performers don’t feel good (they are sick, for example, or tired because of a bad night or a long trip to the studio), so it is easier for them to film the scene with less intense sex and only do it for close-ups. Sometimes cum is fake. The actors are not sex machines and their cum quantity, or texture, cannot be useful for the shot. So we have always a mix based in yogurt to help us in these situations. Of course, I prefer, as a director/producer, a good natural load of sperm and always try to avoid fake things, but we are humans and there are things we can’t control. And again, when you invest money in a scene, you need to use all the resources to make that scene in a way you can earn money with it.

I know there are some producers who film the scene starting with the cumshot. Performers are more rest and fresh, and it is easier, generally, for them to cum fast and in a good quantity. They film that, clean the girl, make-up redo if needed and start again with the other positions.

And so on.

The same with the pleasure. You don’t see it in the final cut usually, but directors are constantly giving orders, people moving around you, … not the best environment for an enjoyable sex session.

We are actors. And we perform.
